Pirate Workshop
The Nursery unit at Our Lady's Abingdon Junior School was recently invaded by a large group of marauding pirates! Children aged from 2 years were invited to participate in a 'pirate workshop' afternoon alongside pupils from our Nursery and Reception classes. The standard of fancy dress was fantastic and all the children looked splendid in a variety of swashbuckling attire. Activities on offer included a treasure hunt, making your own pirate hat, decorating a parrot, playing on a pirate ship and walking the plank, which was optional!; A good time was had by all.
Mrs Atkinson, Senior Nursery Nurse said “The children had a wonderful time exploring the activities on offer and making new friends” Mr O'Neill, Headteacher, commented on the wonderful atmosphere in the Nursery garden which was created by such colourful costumes and such happy looking children, and mums!
