Water Sports
Every other year we offer pupils the opportunity to take part in a water-based adventure holiday. We have been to Narbonne Plage several times and this year we are going to the Ardeche, both in southern France. The holiday is open to Years 7 and 8 and occasionally we take a few year 9 pupils who have been before and plead for the chance to go again!
We travel by coach and the accommodation is in tents (big tents with floors and beds, each of which sleeps 4). The accommodation is full board, so no campfire cooking is required!

Pupils have the chance to try a variety of activities including kayaking, abseiling, caving - all lead by fully trained instructors. This year for the first time we will spend two days canoeing down the river, camping overnight on the riverbank.
In case all the daytime activities are not tiring enough, the evenings are filled with fun too, including an Egg Challenge, Wet Night, which is very, very wet and a cabaret ,with entertainment provided by pupils and activity staff.
As one pupil said "the water sports holiday was the most fun I have ever had".
