We have long wanted to establish a good way of helping our past pupils to keep in touch with us and with themselves, which is why we have now activated a new web-enabled network which is accessible through our web pages, and which offers all past pupils some exciting benefits. From the minute you register with the new on-line network, you will be able to:

  • Maintain contact with other past pupils via the on-line Who’s Who and via a personal e-mail address that remains the same, no matter how often you move location or change other e-mail addresses.
  • Ensure that details about you are accurate, appropriate and completely up to date – just by spending a few minutes on the World Wide Web each year.
  • Keep informed about Past Pupil Association (PPA) news, events and issues relating to Our Lady’s Convent School and the PPA, immediately they arise.
  • Manage and report on your own events and activities.
  • Benefit from an expansive network of past pupils.
  • Share your knowledge, skills and advice with current and future generations of OLCS pupils seeking university information, career guidance or work experience.

Security Assurance

You will get a unique username and password.

webALUMNUS incorporates Abattia’s ground-breaking data privacy technology, which enables us to offer you a secure service according to your preferences for the disclosure and use of your personal data, while allowing us to comply with privacy regulations.

The system will protect your rights over the data it holds about you. You will be able to control what data is held on the system, and whether this data is visible to other users. The webALUMNUS system will ensure that we handle your personal data in the way that you specify.

webALUMNUS keeps track of how, and by whom, it is used. When signing on for the first time, all users must agree to clearly stated terms of use, which are monitored and strictly enforced.

The system will operate from dedicated servers protected by an industry-strength ‘firewall’, which will be monitored continuously.

Your data will not be lost – a regular backup regime will be in place.

The system will be lodged in a secure, fireproofed and security guarded installation.

Our promise is that the information we keep is never sold or passed on by us to commercial third parties for purposes unconnected with the school or the PPA; it is only used by us, or by third parties on our behalf and under our direction, for purposes related to the school or the PPA. These purposes include:

  • Allowing you and us to keep abreast of where past pupils are and what they are doing.
  • Administering the Past Pupils Association and keeping in touch with you.
  • Supporting the activities of the school.
