Making Learning Exciting
At OLA Lower School, our children enjoy learning and make excellent progress because they have passionate teachers who inspire enthusiasm. From an early age, pupils are encouraged to take responsibility for their learning and to develop their independence.
Exciting lessons are supplemented by school trips, workshops and cross curricular activities.
Children’s progress is carefully monitored throughout the year and parents are always welcome to discuss their child’s learning with the class teacher.
There is a formal parents’ evening twice a year and parents receive termly progress reports.
At the beginning of each academic year, children sit verbal and non-verbal reasoning tests; these are complemented by Mathematics and English assessments at the end of the academic year. The results of these assessments are reported to parents in the form of a standardised score.
