Digital Learning Journey

Each child has their own digital learning journey, which we use to keep track of the children’s progress and to set targets so that they continue to learn. Each week we send parents information about how their child is doing at school and we encourage parents to respond to us and explain what their children are doing at home. We have an open-door policy, and parents are always welcome to speak to the Class Teacher if they have any concerns.

At the end of their Reception Year, children are assessed against the Early Learning Goals, which are national expectations. These assessments are regularly moderated by the County Council. Children are awarded a level (emerging, expected or exceeding) for each of the areas of learning. Children who achieve at least the expected level in Communication and Language, Physical Development, Personal Social and Emotional Education, Literacy and Mathematics are awarded a ‘good level of development’.
